From April 25 to May 3, Điện Biên welcomed approximately 75,200 visitors, a 1.25-fold increase from the previous year, with tourism revenue reaching $4.63 million. The local government aims to develop signature tourism products and improve service quality, targeting over 1.6 million visitors in 2026. The area is undergoing modernization, with upgraded infrastructure and expanding commercial spaces. Investments in rural areas are improving living conditions. The province's GRDP grew about 7.34% in 2025. The provincial Party Congress resolution aims for a green, smart, and sustainable economy. The province plans to focus on completing policies, improving infrastructure, and developing tourism.
