Tax Administration Jamaica (TAJ) announced that the system for electronic motor vehicle registration certificate (eMVRC) transactions is experiencing partial service disruptions. Customers may encounter difficulties accessing or completing eMVRC-related services. TAJ clarified that the issue doesn't affect all users, and service providers are working to restore full service. Customers unable to access the payment webpage are advised to visit their nearest tax office. Those who have completed online applications and payments but can't generate their certificate will have the process completed by TAJ, and will be notified via email when the certificate is available. The announcement was made on May 1, 2026.
