Suvendu Adhikari will be sworn in as the first BJP Chief Minister of West Bengal. The ceremony will take place at the Brigade Parade Ground in Kolkata. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, and other BJP leaders and chief ministers from NDA-ruled states are expected to attend. Adhikari was elected leader of the State BJP legislature party the previous day. The meeting was held in Kolkata, with Home Minister Amit Shah present. Shah stated that all proposals supported Adhikari. Following his election, Adhikari met with West Bengal Governor R N Ravi to stake his claim to form the first BJP-led government in the state. The BJP achieved a historic victory in the Assembly elections, ending TMC’s 15-year rule. Celebrations erupted in Adhikari’s hometown in Purba Medinipur and his constituency Nandigram after the news of his election. Victory processions with music and celebrations took place throughout Nandigram.
