During the grand finale of the Community Futures North Okanagan's 11th annual Enterprize Challenge on May 7th, Sarah Draht, founder of StrongHER Self-Defense, showcased her business idea. Draht, a two-time Brazilian jiu-jitsu world champion, presented her self-defense program designed to empower women through affordable classes. Despite a brief technical issue with her microphone during her seven-minute pitch, Draht's message resonated with the audience. She emphasized that winning the Challenge would mean less fear and more confidence for women. Her presentation led to a victory in both the judges' decision and the People's Choice Award. Draht was awarded the 2026 Enterprize Challenge, including a business services prize package worth over $24,000, which will help StrongHER expand.
