Scotiabank Jamaica has launched audio guidance at some of its automated teller machines (ATMs) across the island. The bank stated that they believe banking should be accessible to everyone and are proud to introduce audio guidance to their ATMs. This feature allows individuals with visual impairments to conduct transactions more independently, providing a seamless experience. To use the audio guidance, ATM users can plug their wired earphones into the headphone jack and receive step-by-step voice instructions to complete transactions. Scotiabank indicated that users should insert their headphones into the ATM jack to start the audio, and the screen will prompt if the transaction screen should be hidden for privacy. Users can then adjust the volume and voice speed via audio numerical/keypad options or the touch screen, confirm settings, and follow instructions to insert their card and complete the transaction. The bank reported that over 280 of its ATMs have audio guidance available. For more information and a list of ATM locations, customers can visit jm.scotiabank.com.
