Polish Influencer's Livestream Raises Astounding £50M for Cancer Charity

Piotr Hancke, a Polish influencer known as Latwogang, hosted a non-stop 9-day livestream that successfully raised over £50 million for a children's cancer charity. The event, which took place in Warsaw, saw support from notable figures such as Coldplay frontman Chris Martin and former Arsenal goalkeeper Wojciech Szczęsny. The funds were raised to benefit the Polish charity Cancer Fighters Foundation (CFF). During the stream, Latwogang listened to a charity song by Polish rapper Bedoes 2115 continuously. The song, originally a rap diss track aimed at cancer, features a young patient's vocals. Chris Martin participated via video call, performing a short tune. Barcelona striker Robert Lewandowski also joined the effort with a video of himself dancing to the song on TikTok. Several celebrity guests shaved their heads to support cancer patients, and Latwogang also shaved his head. The stream began on April 17 and concluded on Sunday evening. At one point, the stream reached 1.4 million concurrent viewers. The official fundraising total, as shared on the Cancer Fighters page, showed that over £52 million had been raised. CFF has established a separate website to ensure transparency regarding the funds raised, allowing donors to witness the real-world impact of their contributions.
