Morgan Stanley Infrastructure Partners is reportedly seeking to sell StraitNZ, the company that operates the Bluebridge Cook Strait ferries. Investment banks have been appointed to facilitate the sale. The asking price for the operator, which also handles landside operations, is estimated to be around A$1 billion ($1.22 billion). The global private equity fund acquired the logistics and Bluebridge operator in March 2022. The news was reported on May 12, 2026, by Brent Melville.
