Prime Minister Narendra Modi will participate in the closing ceremony of Sikkim’s 50th Year of Statehood celebrations at Paljor Stadium. Governor of Sikkim Om Prakash Mathur, Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang, and other officials will also attend. The Prime Minister will inaugurate, launch, and lay the foundation stone for various development projects worth over ₹4,000 crore across the state. These projects cover infrastructure, healthcare, education, and other sectors. Modi will lay the foundation stone for a 100-bedded Ayurveda hospital and inaugurate the permanent campus of Sikkim University. A cultural event themed “1000 Steps of Unity” will be presented. The Prime Minister will visit the Orchidarium in Gangtok before the event.
