The 200,000th migrant to arrive in Britain via small-boat crossings is now residing comfortably in a four-star hotel. The Daily Mail tracked the individual to the Crowne Plaza in Basingstoke, where they arrived on a Home Office coach, just 32 hours after reaching Dover. Since 2018, the Home Office has recorded the number of asylum seekers entering the country illegally on small boats. The migrant, who arrived at Dover port, was one of 200,000 to do so. They arrived with 69 others, all from African and Middle Eastern nations, including Iran. These individuals each paid £1,500 for the illegal sea crossing, generating substantial profits for trafficking gangs. The migrant, carrying a blue plastic bag with wet clothes and wearing a Home Office tracksuit, arrived at the hotel less than three days after departing from a French beach. The rubber boat was escorted by a French Navy vessel.
