Lucky Coq, a well-known spot on Chapel Street in Windsor, closed on April 18, after 20 years. Morris Hospitality, the parent company, will renovate the space. The new venue is expected to open by the end of the year. Morris Hospitality aims to evolve the venue with Chapel Street. Lucky Coq was founded in 2006 by the founders of Naked for Satan. Morris Hospitality acquired the freehold in 2022. The new venue's name and concept are yet to be revealed. The design will be by Ineke Hutter of Studio Co & Co, with food overseen by Peter Reffell and Iker Garcia. The new venue will focus on “eclectic” live music. There will be DJs on weekends. The venue will no longer offer $5 pizzas. Morris Hospitality is adapting to changes in Chapel Street.
