Montego Bay United secured a slim lead against defending champions Cavalier in the Jamaica Premier League semi-finals at the National Stadium on Sunday. An own goal in added time by Adrian Reid Jr. gave Montego Bay a 1-0 advantage heading into Wednesday’s second leg at the same venue. Montego Bay dominated the game but was unable to break through Cavalier's defense until the late mistake. Montego Bay thought they had taken the lead in the first half, but Malachi Sterling's effort was ruled offside. Cavalier was saved by the crossbar in the second half when Dwight Merrick’s shot hit the woodwork. Montego Bay eventually took the lead when Reid inadvertently turned a corner into his own goal three minutes into added time.
