Kristoffer Reitan from Norway secured his first PGA Tour victory at the Truist Championship with a score of 2-under 69 on Sunday, winning by two shots. Reitan, who chose golf over soccer, previously won twice on the European Tour, finishing at 15-under 269. Alex Fitzpatrick finished three shots behind after shooting 73. Reitan, a PGA Tour rookie, started the round one shot behind Fitzpatrick. Rickie Fowler was initially in the lead, but missed a birdie putt on 16, allowing Reitan, Fitzpatrick, and Nicolai Hojgaard to tie. Fowler's approach shot on the 18th hole led to a bogey, ending his chances. Reitan took the lead with a birdie on 15. Hojgaard and Fitzpatrick faltered, taking them out of contention. Reitan secured the win with a par on 18. Cameron Young, the world’s No. 3 player, had a disappointing day, finishing tied for 10th.
