Celtic striker Kelechi Iheanacho is enjoying a prolific scoring run for the Scottish Premiership side, having scored his fourth goal in six games since returning from injury. This has helped the club stay in contention for the league title. Iheanacho, who joined Celtic last summer, has been in excellent form, recently scoring his third match-winning goal in the league. On Sunday, he scored the winning goal in Celtic’s 2-1 victory over Hibernian, moving the club level on points at the top of the table. He scored from close range, taking his league tally to four goals in 10 matches and seven in 18 appearances across all competitions. The 29-year-old expressed his delight after coming off the bench to score the decisive goal. He emphasized the importance of patience and composure in such matches. After being sidelined by injury, the Nigerian appears settled and is enjoying his time in Scotland. He is also working his way back into the Super Eagles ahead of June’s international friendlies against Poland and Portugal. His last appearance for the national team was during the 2025 Unity Cup in London.
