Kingston College (KC) has announced that they are parting ways with Technical Director Vassell Reynolds. Jermaine Miller, the Under-16 coach, will take charge of the Under-19 team for the upcoming season. Reynolds took over in 2023, and despite a challenging start with many players leaving, he led the team to the semi-finals of both the Manning Cup and Champions Cup in his first year. In 2024, he secured the Manning Cup and Olivier Shield titles. In his final year, KC was eliminated in the second round of the Manning Cup. Reynolds has a successful coaching record, including the daCosta Cup with Ruseas High in 2017, the U16 All-Island title with Wolmer’s in 2007, and the Walker Cup and Flow Cup titles with Wolmer’s in 2015 and 2016. He also led Hydel High to their first Manning Cup final in 2012. Reynolds is currently the National Under-17 assistant coach and will be at the FIFA World Cup in November, and also head coach of the National Under-15 team. Sources indicate that KC management was more impressed with Miller, who led an attractive Under-16 team. Miller holds a degree in Physical Education and played for Morant Bay High and several Premier League clubs. He began coaching in 2011 and was Reynolds’ assistant coach at KC in 2023.
