Jamaica is focusing on motorcycle safety by ensuring that only certified, quality helmets are used. A recent stakeholder training session, hosted by the National Helmet Wearing Coalition (NHWC) at the Police Officers’ Club in Kingston, brought together 41 stakeholders including regulators, enforcement personnel, port officials, and helmet suppliers. The goal is to equip people with the necessary information to choose and use helmets correctly. Sydoney Preddie from the JN Foundation emphasized the importance of this preparation.
