The Jamaica Athletics Administrative Association (JAAA) has dismissed reports that a dispute over travel tickets led to Oblique Seville's withdrawal from the World Relays team in Gaborone, Botswana. The JAAA stated there was no disagreement between Oblique Seville's agents and the JAAA regarding ticket payments. The issue was about the earliest date Seville could return to Miami to fulfill a contractual obligation. His agent was informed that the earliest available flight would be on May 5, 2026, after midday. The JAAA received written notice from Oblique's manager, Norman Peart, on April 21, withdrawing Seville from the World Relays Team.
