The Cox Coaching School has partnered with IG Sports to boost grassroots football development. Five young footballers have been identified for potential scholarship opportunities in the United States. The showcase, held before Easter, featured coaches from Hoosac Prep School. The partnership aims to provide opportunities for young footballers to combine academics with high-level football abroad. Marcus Benjamin, the founder of IG Sports, is a Trinidadian who received a basketball scholarship to the US. IG Sports helps bring overseas coaches to Trinidad and Tobago to identify promising footballers, providing mentorship and scholarship pathways. Sebastian James, Donovan Drayton, Jaylon Carrington, Tevez Holder, and Xavier Martin were identified as potential scholarship candidates for 2027. The program also involved support from coach Cesar Augusto Lemos and Cy Padmore of The Brazil Link, with three Brazilian players participating in the camp.
