Israel's security cabinet has been called to discuss the possibility of resuming fighting in Gaza, according to a report. The discussion is expected to take place on Sunday. A source indicated that Israel is seeking concrete steps toward Hamas's disarmament and the establishment of a new technocratic government. This follows Hamas's response to the disarmament plan, which included specific stipulations regarding weapons and a demand for a complete ceasefire and IDF withdrawal from Gaza based on an agreed timetable. The Gaza Board of Peace denied rumors about the closure of its Civil-Military Coordination Center (CMCC) in Kiryat Gat, stating that the CMCC is working to continue providing aid. The CMCC has also been critical in advancing security. The Reuters reported earlier that the US military-run center near Gaza was set to be shut by the Trump administration. Diplomats and officials said the move highlights the difficulties facing US efforts to oversee the truce and coordinate aid, as Hamas firms its grip in areas under its control.
