DJ Habibeats, also known as Ibrahim Abu-Ali, is taking the music world by storm. After playing packed venues across Europe, he's back in California preparing for his biggest show yet at the Shrine Expo Hall on May 1st. The event, Habibi's House, is expected to draw 5,000 attendees, a feat unimaginable just a few years ago. This show kicks off his 10-stop North American tour, hot on the heels of his Coachella performance and the release of his new EP, Benzeen. The Palestinian-American DJ and producer from San Francisco has transformed an identity crisis into a thriving Middle Eastern nightlife scene in Los Angeles and beyond. The first Habibi's House in LA, held just four years ago, sold only 80 tickets. Before Habibi's House, events featuring Arabic music were rare in LA, making his success even more remarkable.
