The Lebanon baseball team celebrated a 7-2 victory over Kings, but the event held a deeper significance as the community rallied to support senior Zach Amburgy, who is battling Fibrolamellar Hepatocellular Carcinoma, a rare form of liver cancer. The community honored Amburgy with various fundraising activities. Zach threw the ceremonial first pitch. Amburgy, a three-sport athlete, had to overcome a knee injury before his diagnosis. His symptoms led to a diagnosis after blood work. Zach and his family are staying positive. He spent time in the hospital but attended his senior prom. He will receive chemotherapy in the coming weeks. Team mothers organized the "Packed for Zach" game. Lebanon head coach Keith Shilt praised the support from Kings. The Do Good Mission has a Facebook page to raise funds for the family.
