Axel Disasi, sidelined by Chelsea this season, made a rare appearance for the Under-21s, hinting at a potential first-team return despite initial doubts. The French defender, who ended last season on loan at Aston Villa, didn't secure a permanent summer move. Joining for £38.5 million in 2023, he played 44 times under Mauricio Pochettino but saw fewer opportunities under Enzo Maresca, missing out on the Premier League squad. However, he's now set to rejoin the first team, impressing with his attitude, according to Sky Sports. The 27-year-old has trained with the senior side, approaching a return to action, though he can't play in the league until January. He might feature in the Carabao Cup quarter-final against Cardiff City in December. Disasi hadn't played since returning from his loan but played for the Under-21s in a Premier League 2 match against Reading, captaining the team in a 4-1 victory, with Shim Mheuka scoring twice. Deivid Washington also made a cameo appearance. Disasi's reintegration comes amid a growing injury list. Levi Colwill is out for the season after ACL surgery, while Benoit Badiashile has only made three appearances. Badiashile is out until December, as stated by Maresca in mid-October, after being injured against Liverpool. Romeo Lavia is also injured, and his absence could lead to Reece James playing in midfield, potentially benefiting Disasi's ability to play at right-back. Chelsea will face Burnley in the Premier League on November 22, followed by
