In Montego Bay, St. James, a police operation led to the charging of two brothers, Dante and Renaldo Sparse. They appeared in the St. James Parish Court on Wednesday, facing charges of possessing identity information and an access device under the Law Reform (Fraudulent Transactions) (Special Provisions) Act. During the operation at their residence, officers found a Visa bank card. Two cell phones were also found, and the brothers acknowledged ownership. Examination of the phones allegedly revealed lead sheets with information linked to overseas individuals. Dante reportedly told officers, “Beg yuh a chance, officer.” Renaldo also said, “Mi nuh know nutten ‘bout di card officer, but mi a beg yuh a chance.” Renaldo was initially granted station bail of $400,000, which he couldn't take up, and was later offered fresh bail of $300,000. Dante was already in custody for another matter and was remanded. The case is set for mention on June 16.
