Jamaica Labour Party (JLP) Communication Chairman, Senator Abka Fitz-Henley, stated that PNP Chairman Angela Brown-Burke's acceptance of breaching parliamentary rules was insufficient. Fitz-Henley demanded an apology for bringing the Parliament into disrepute and delaying debate on a crucial bill. He asserted that Brown-Burke should apologize to the people of Jamaica, the Speaker, and the Parliament. Fitz-Henley also questioned the PNP's approach to addressing issues concerning the Jamaican people. He suggested that Brown-Burke was pressured to admit her mistake due to public criticism, and he viewed her behavior as a continuation of misconduct. Fitz-Henley concluded that the PNP should improve its handling of the people's business.
